As 2023 rolls around, I have been searching for something to channel some of my excess creativity into. After considering a new long-term online campaign (too much commitment) or something like #dungeon23 (just not my scene), I decided to pick up an old favourite, Ironsworn and have a go at some solo gaming.
I’ve played Ironsworn before, as a cooperative game and it was a lot of fun. I’ve also written a lot of fan fiction in my time (of varying quality…) Together, hopefully these things will give me a decent basis for the game.
In terms of tone, I’m going to a ‘write what you know’ style of game, so its going to involve a lot of bleak, rain-swept cliffs, barren moors and small desperate settlements scraping an existence in the dark.
